Acting Community Mourns Talent Agent Mark Schlegel

Opening night of The Brothers Size at The Public Theater with Mark Schlegel. This picture was just taken just about ten years ago, my first opening with my Cornerstone family. From the very start I knew how lucky i was to be with this team. Mark's counsel extended beyond the next job. He cared less about the next job and more about the career arc and in that sense i always felt his commitment to me as an artist and his belief that i would be building towards a life in the Arts. His generosity of spirit and belief and hard work kept me in the game and i never once had to curb a question or concern. I knew he would hear me out, offer sound advice and ultimately leave me well prepared to make my necessary career decisions. He made every show, called every birthday, would often ask about my wife and kids and until this past week would call to wish us a happy anniversary. I'm sure that date stuck in his mind easier than the others as ours came just a few days after his. I have been praying for him and his family. And continue to do so. Rest in Peace Mark. You are missed. You are loved.
