The Wild West lives on in a rustic, straight-out-of-Hollywood cabin which has gone on sale in California for $120,000.

The tiny 150-square-foot cabin in Pioneertown, a two-hour drive east from Los Angeles, looks like something straight out of Tombstone or Bodie with its 'false front'.

The common architectural technique uses a vertical facade to mask a gabled roof and was popular in the Old West because it gave structures that were quickly and often haphazardly built the appearance of permanence.

Though those keen on buying should plan on either renovating the home or living as the settlers did, as in primitively.

At present, the property lacks a bathroom and kitchen.

A buyer would also need to install a well in order to pump water to the home.
